Social Feed and Events

The feed is part of the simulation

Crypto Trading Simulator’s market is not a silent spreadsheet. Prices react to a living stew of simulated global events, and the in-game social feed mixes tips, panic, and pump theater. If you trade every post, you will donate fees to chaos. If you ignore the feed entirely, you will be late to regime shifts. This guide teaches a filter.

For execution rules after you decide, return to How to Trade. For indicator confirmation, use How to Read Charts.

Event types you should recognize

Store-facing examples include exchange hacks, celebrity airdrops, fee spikes, and influencer tweets. Mentally tag each alert:

  • Liquidity shock — sudden risk-off; reduce size or flatten.
  • Hype injection — late chases get punished; wait for structure.
  • Cost regime change — fee spikes alter scalp math.
  • Narrative fog — rumors without confirmation; journal, do not YOLO.

The three-bin filter

Create three bins for feed items:

  1. Actionable now — confirmed by price and volume, fits your playbook.
  2. Watchlist — interesting, needs another candle or source.
  3. Entertainment — rage bait and recycled hopium.

Only bin one can authorize risk. Bin two can authorize alerts. Bin three authorizes nothing except screenshots for your journal.

Response playbooks

During a hack-style panic

Halt new entries. If already long fragile alts, tighten or exit per Risk and Security. Re-enter only after structure stabilizes.

During airdrop hype

Assume you are not first. Let the first spike breathe. Trade the second move only if it matches Trading Strategies.

During fee spike news

Recalculate break-even. Many scalps become negative expectancy instantly.

FOMO detox rules

  • No market orders in the first moments of a viral post unless your written plan says otherwise.
  • Cap event-driven risk at half your normal risk percent.
  • Never fund bill payments with unconfirmed rumor upside—see How to Survive Bills.
  • If you feel rushed, you are probably entertainment-bin trading.

Using the feed for learning

The feed is a training simulator for information hygiene. Grade yourself weekly:

  • How many bin-three posts did you almost trade?
  • How many bin-one events did you size correctly?
  • How often did you let an event violate your cash floor?

Early Access evolution

Developers plan richer news generation over Early Access. That means filters matter more later, not less. Track changes in Patch Notes and expectations in the roadmap. Community feedback channels are linked from the Links hub.

Tie-ins with progression

Event mastery supports bankroll achievements without requiring reckless coin hopping. When you pursue coin badges, coordinate with Coin Focus so narrative trades still respect concentration risk.

Closing loop

Read feed → bin it → check chart structure → size with tools → execute or pass. That loop keeps the drama layer fun instead of fatal. Continue to Office Upgrades when surplus appears, or Getting Started if a friend is joining Mid-chaos.

Building an event journal template

For each major feed event, log timestamp, bin (actionable/watch/entertainment), chart structure at the time, size you chose, and outcome. After ten events you will see whether you are an entertainment addict or an information operator. That journal also helps when reporting balance feedback on Discord via the Community Hub.

Teaching patience as a flex

In this game, sitting out a viral tweet can be the most profitable screenshot. Share process wins with friends—not only green candles—so the culture around your play group rewards filters. Pair that culture with Trading Strategies event-pause playbooks.

Final filter mantra

If a post demands urgency, it probably demands a smaller size—or no size at all. Urgency is the product the feed sells; solvency is the product you keep. End every chaotic session by naming one rumor you correctly ignored and one structure signal you correctly waited for.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Should I trade every influencer tweet event?

No. Most belong in the watchlist or entertainment bins. Only trade when structure and risk rules from [How to Trade](/guides/how-to-trade/) agree.

Do events use real-world news?

The game uses a simulated event and social layer. Do not confuse it with live financial advice.

What if an event nukes my position?

Flatten per plan, restore your bill buffer, then review [Risk and Security](/guides/risk-and-security/) before resizing.
